tentang mata air

I am writing about what I like in this world eventhough maybe no one is interested to know, or care. (or say, ade aku kesah)  Anyway, let us share this thought.

I have always thought that a spring is life's small miracles, The spring gives the most pure water to all Allah's creatures.  Spring will spring out of unexpected places as Allah and nature will it.  In the forest, on the hills, in the valleys and amazingly,  in the deserts. Unfortunate for our vast sea, we cannot drink from it.

The spring is water that flows underground  in the cracks and crannies of the earth and stones and would be leak out onto the surface by its volume.  Or when it rains, the water evaporate  into the ground  and accumulate underneath, that when it surfaces, it has already been through the process of natural filtering,  that the water will be full of minerals and free from whatever our  pipe water is contaminated by.

The spring or 'uyun' is mentioned many times in the Quran as one symbol of nikmat Allah provides for His believers.  The uyun is provision and sustainance. Water is crucial and to be promised 'jannatun wa uyun' by Allah means eternal salvation in the hereafter.

Just look at Telaga Zamzam which is said not linked to any source of water but from heavan. I have never fail to be awed by Telaga Zamzam and whatever is said about its well or water or  those whom the well came into form for.

In arabic a spring is ainon, many springs is uyun. Ainon also means eyes, for the tears well up in the eyes, just like the springs that well up from the earth.
